Acai Berry Liqueur – It Had to Happen
With all things Acai seemingly taking over the world, it was only a matter of time before someone came up with an Acai-based alcoholic beverage. Veev, the world’s first Acai-based spirit, as recently made its debut.
The beverage is technically a liqueur, starting with a wheat base and added Acai flavors. The pale yellow beverage has flavors of both prickly pear and acerola cherry.
The beverage is said to mix well with champagne or in most any cocktail that calls for vodka. It also drinks well straight, either as a shooter or as a Martini.
It is doubtful that one will obtain many of the benefits of the Acai berry from consuming it in this way, but to each his own.
